INDIAN GRANITE MANUFACTURERS & SUPPLIER

India holds some of the world’s
most varied granite belts

India is one of the few countries where you can find granite in nearly every spectrum – pale moonlit whites, ink-black absolutes, saffron golds, dusty pinks, forest greens, and everything between. The geological variety here is extraordinary, and at TWI Stones & Surfaces, we’ve spent years building direct relationships with quarry operators across Rajasthan, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu to bring that variety directly to builders, architects, and stone merchants worldwide.

Our processing facilities handle everything from raw gangsaw blocks to precision cut-to-size tiles. We don’t just cut stone, we read it. Veining, grain direction, crystalline density: these details matter for how a finished surface looks and performs under real conditions, whether that’s a high-traffic commercial floor or a kitchen countertop that sees steam and knives every single day.

Sizes, thicknesses
& available finishes

We supply granite in formats that match how construction actually works — from large gangsaw slabs for continuous countertop runs, to standard cutter slabs for kitchen fabricators, to cut-to-size tiles for installers who need ready-to-lay material. Custom sizing is available for most profiles; talk to us about project-specific requirements.

Slab & Tile Dimensions
Format Standard Dimensions
Gangsaw Slab 280 × 180 cm
Cutter Slab 180 × 60 cm
Cut to Size 30×30 / 30×60 / 60×60 / 60×120 cm
Thickness Range 2 cm · 3 cm · 4 cm · 5 cm — up to 30 cm
Custom Articles Window sills, thresholds, steps & treads, monuments — available in project-specific sizes on request

The finish changes everything. The same black granite looks completely different depending on whether it’s been polished to a mirror or flamed for outdoor grip. Below are the finishes we apply in-house — each suited to different uses and aesthetics.

Polished
Honed
Flamed
Brushed
Leather
Antique
Bush Hammered

Finish guidance: Polished and leather finishes work best indoors. Flamed and bush-hammered surfaces provide anti-slip texture for exterior steps and poolside paving. Honed and antique finishes sit in the middle — matte enough for casual interiors, smooth enough to clean easily.

What separates good stone
from the right stone

01

Direct Quarry Sourcing

We don’t buy from middlemen. Our team visits quarry sites across Rajasthan, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu to select blocks that meet our standards before they’re ever processed. This means fewer surprises in colour consistency and internal quality.

02

In-House Processing

Gangsaw cutting, calibrating, and surface finishing all happen in our facility under quality control. We know the grain of every stone we process, and our team catches issues — natural fissures, colour inconsistencies, surface defects — before material ever ships to a client.

03

Project-Matched Supply

Large projects need material consistency across multiple orders. We match lot numbers, quarry batches, and processing runs so that the granite arriving in month three looks the same as what arrived in month one. For custom sizes and profiles, we work directly off architect drawings.

GLOBAL BUYERS CHOOSE US

We partner with international brands, distributors, and project companies to deliver certified products with consistent quality. Our integrated sourcing, manufacturing strength, and export expertise make us a reliable partner for global procurement.

Granite Applications

armoured cable exporter and electrical wires supplier to Africa.

Kitchen Countertops Granite is our top recommendation for kitchens. Heat-resistant, stain-resistant (when sealed), and looks better over time. Requires minimal maintenance if sealed properly.

Bathroom Vanities & Shower Surrounds Water-resistant granite holds up better than marble in wet environments. We recommend our darker varieties (Absolute Black, Black Galaxy) for bathrooms because they hide water spots.

Flooring (Residential & Commercial) Granite flooring is an investment that pays dividends. It increases home value, never needs replacing, and is easier to maintain than most alternatives. Heavy foot traffic? Granite loves it.

Wall Cladding & Accent Walls Polished granite cladding creates a premium look that other materials struggle to match. Perfect for feature walls, building exteriors, and luxury lobbies.

Monument & Memorial Applications We’ve supplied granite for memorials across North America and Europe. Granite lasts centuries—literally. If you’re looking for something that will stand the test of time, this is it.

Staircase Steps & Risers Custom-cut granite steps are durable and elegant. We can cut to exact measurements and provide beveled edges.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is Indian granite as good as Italian or Brazilian granite? A: Yes, actually better in many cases. Indian granite is denser and more durable than much Brazilian granite. Italian granite is marketed as premium, but the difference is branding, not performance. Our Absolute Black and Black Galaxy are used in luxury hotels worldwide and have outlasted imported alternatives.

Q: Can granite be used in kitchens? A: Absolutely. It’s one of the best kitchen materials available. Heat-resistant, stain-resistant (when sealed), and lasts 50+ years. Requires resealing every 2-3 years, but that’s minimal maintenance for a countertop that will never need replacing.

Q: Does granite stain easily? A: No, not if it’s sealed. Unsealed granite can absorb liquids, but all our granite comes sealed and sealed properly. Even spilled red wine can be cleaned with mild soap if you wipe it immediately.

Q: Is granite slippery? A: Polished granite has a reflective finish, so it can be slippery when wet. In bathrooms or wet areas, choose honed finish (matte) or apply anti-slip coating. For stairs, we recommend flame-finished or textured finishes.

Q: How much does granite cost? A: Depends on the variety and finish. Absolute Black: $80-120 per sq ft. Black Galaxy: $70-100 per sq ft. Tan Brown: $60-90 per sq ft. Pricing varies by location, freight costs, and order size. Our quotes are always transparent—no hidden fees.

Q: Can I cut/shape granite myself? A: Not easily. Granite requires industrial equipment. That’s why we offer custom cutting. Send dimensions and we cut to your exact requirements before shipment.

Q: How is granite transported? A: In shipping containers (FCL or LCL). Each slab individually wrapped in foam and packed in wooden crates. We handle all logistics. Granite arrives safely—we guarantee it.

Q: What if granite arrives damaged? A: We replace it. Damaged slabs are our responsibility and our loss, not yours. That’s why we invest in proper packaging.

Q: Can granite be used for flooring in commercial spaces? A: Yes, ideal for commercial flooring. High foot traffic? Granite handles it. Public restrooms? Perfect. Hotels and restaurants? Our granite is in thousands of them worldwide. Cleaning is easy—just mop with mild soap.

Q: How long does granite last? A: Longer than the building. Granite is measured in centuries, not years. It’s literally one of the few materials you can install once and forget about.

Q: Do you offer custom colors or patterns? A: We offer 20+ standard varieties. Custom sourcing is possible for large orders—we can locate specific patterns within 3-4 weeks. Minimum order typically applies for custom work.

Q: What’s the difference between polished and honed granite? A: Polished: Shiny, reflective, shows fingerprints and dust easily. Looks luxurious but requires more frequent cleaning. Honed: Matte, subtle, hides fingerprints and dust. More practical for kitchens and high-traffic areas. Some say it looks more sophisticated.

Q: Is granite environmentally friendly? A: It’s natural stone—zero processing chemicals in the final product. No resins, no glues, no plastics. It’s quarried and shaped, then that’s it. Lasts centuries, which means you’re not replacing it every 10 years like other materials.

Q: Can you export to my country? A: We ship to 50+ countries. If your country isn’t on our standard list, we can still arrange shipment—just takes slightly longer. Let us know your location and we’ll provide a shipping quote.

Q: What happens with VAT, duties, and taxes? A: We quote in FOB (Free on Board) which means you’re responsible for import duties and taxes in your country. We handle Indian export documentation. You handle import on your end. Some countries have import taxes on natural stone—check with your customs office.

Q: How do I know the quality matches the photos? A: We send high-resolution photos of your exact slabs before shipment. You can inspect them online before we load the container. If you’re not happy, we don’t ship. It’s that simple.

Q: What if I’m a small contractor? A: No problem. We work with everyone—small contractors, large builders, architects, and direct consumers. No attitude. No minimum order minimums that force you to buy more than needed.

Q: Can you ship to a project site directly? A: Yes. We’ll ship to your site, your warehouse, your shipping partner—wherever you want. Just provide the address and we handle it.

Q: What’s your warranty? A: Quality guarantee on arrival. If granite is damaged during shipping, we replace it. On the product itself: natural stone can have minor variations in color and pattern—this is normal and not a defect. All our granite is inspected before shipment for cracks, chips, and defects. What we send is what you see in photos.

Q: I need a quote urgently. How fast can you respond? A: Same day if you email before 2 PM IST. Include granite variety, dimensions, quantity, and delivery location. We’ll send a detailed quote within 4-6 hours.

Q: Can you provide technical certifications? A: Yes. Test reports available for water absorption, compressive strength, thermal properties. International standards compliance documentation provided on request.

Q: Do you offer installation support? A: We connect you with local installers in your country (where available). We don’t install internationally, but we provide detailed installation guidelines and can answer technical questions during your project.

Q: What’s the difference between your granite and Chinese granite? A: Chinese granite is cheaper but softer. It scratches easier, absorbs more water, and doesn’t age as well. Indian granite is denser and more durable. You pay slightly more upfront but save money long-term because you’re not dealing with staining, etching, and premature wear.
